MarkAbleIf you’ve ever tried to rip an audiobook in iTunes, you know it is a hit or miss event. Even when CDs are part of a set, iTunes tends to inconsistently name tracks. In order to combine tracks, you must manually join CD tracks before each rip. Plus there’s no easy way to combine tracks from multiple CDs. I use a neat program called Transcribe! from Seventh String Software to help me figure out guitar solos, chords and other instrumental parts in music. This is helpful when trying to write out percussion parts for a church piece or practicing a screaming electric guitar solo. Transcribe! is available for Mac, Windows and Linux. I currently use the Windows version but may try Linux on a spare PC I have laying around in my studio.
